The Friend Style Files......Callie

image via maries manor

I love a pretty dressing room. I think I can speak for 90% of the girls my age when I say that a big, beautiful dressing room would be my Number One priority in my dream house.

My best friend Callie feels the same way. She loves fashion and getting dressed up for a big night out. If I were decorating Callie's Home, her dressing room is the first thing I would focus on.

Callie's Decor Style has traditionally centered around Victorian and Shabby Chic influences. To punch up the fun quotient of her dressing room, I would try to convince her to add modern touches with colorful wallpaper, fabrics and lighting. The core furniture would take it's cues from French Influences, keeping that Shabby Chic look that Callie loves.

This is Callie.

Callie wears bright, fun fashions and I would choose a wallpaper to complement her beautiful clothing.

I love these options from Thibaut.

I would add a gorgeous vintage Industrial desk for her dressing table

And hang an antique french mirror above the table like this one.

I would flank the table with two of these mercury glass lamps.

Pottery Barn

Under the table, I would tuck this pretty Simone Bench from Ballard Designs

Recovered in this fabric from Calico Corners

Every girls dressing room needs a luxe chaise to lounge in.
This one looks acceptable for drinking champagne and eating bon bons a la Marie Antoinette

I think I would recover it in a flax linen with a whisper pink piping.

With this gorgeous pillow...

I would love a gorgeous french needlepoint rug like this. Perfect mix of color and french style.

Callie is an organizational maven, and a "California Closets" set up like this would be perfect around the perimeter of the room.

In the center of the room I would add two off these Antique French Dressers and have custom carerra marble tops made for them. Callie could store her folded clothes inside them and have trays of pretty jewelry on the top. The two big flat spaces would be perfect for putting together outfits.

As my finishing touch, I would hang two of these pendants from Horchow above the dressers.
They add the perfect touch of modern glamour.

What would your dream dressing room look like?
