Sometimes the best things in life are the most simple.

I absolutely LOVE this cute, modern kitchen.

Longing for Florence....

In the spring of 2007 I lived in Florence, Italy.

With these three crazies.

And I came home everyday to this big front door.

And I took art history classes, right here.

And regularly walked past this whimsical carousel.

And ate dinner at this sweet little restaurant.
Until we ate there, we called it "The Twinkle-Light Place"

And spent lazy Sunday's lounging in this lovely garden.

I'm having one of those days where I REALLY miss Florence.

I cannot wait to go back.

And in just a few weeks, I'll be reunited with my sweet roomates for one of their weddings.
Couldn't think of a sweeter way to end the summer.

It's Friday and I'm in LOVE!

And here, in no particular order, are this week's

This minty-fresh Cambridge Blazer in Linen from Two Penny Blue, co-founded by one of my FAVE bloggers,
Erin Gates of Elements of Style

Heirloom LA catering----An amazing discovery that I made last week.
Not only do they make Lasagna cupcakes (double-yum) that they will ship,
they also do wedding catering in the LA area (read, Palm Springs).

This adorable mint tray with gold polka-dots from
etsy shop, Tilly Maison

 This precious, girly kitchen.
So simple and SO cute.

This dress from Oscar de la Renta's 2013 bridal collection.
Everything about this look is perfection.

This color combo.
I love how it can be old-world, or mid-century, or totally current.
It's just so fresh.

Wall of Windows

I think alot about remodeling my next house.
And I come up with new ideas daily.

One of the elements I'm really excited about for my next kitchen, is a wall of windowed iron doors.
They let so much light in, they work perfectly in so many environments, and they're ultra-chic.

Wedding Wednesday......A bit o' sparkle.

Currently dreaming of a New Year's Eve wedding.

Complete with TONS of sparkle, gold and blush.

And pretty bridesmaids in New Year's garb.

And a fabulous tablescape.

And a darling little flower girl, covered in glitter.

Ultra-glam wedding guests, in their New Year's finest.

And some sassy shoes, to dance in....

Art Obsession.....Jennifer Moreman

There is no doubt that art is a very personal thing.

And also no doubt that the "right" piece can make or break your interior.
And I'm here to tell you that these amazing abstract chevron pieces, would MAKE your interior.

Whether you're floating in a sea of greys and ivorys or bathed in pure color,
these are amazing.

I need one as the focal point in my living room.

I think this pink and gold is my absolute favorite.
So girly and SO glam.

They're painted by an artist named Jennifer Moreman.

Her work can be found on Etsy.

Check it out.

Bathrooms.....Go unique or go home.

I was quite seriously laying awake in bed last night,
thinking about bathrooms.

Honestly, being immersed in the design world can sometimes be a bad thing.
Why? You're CONSTANTLY inundated with the "newest" thing.
And, you see so much, that you're quickly tired of the overdone and overused.

I love beautiful, classic bathrooms.
And I also like them to have a slight edge.

Jonathan Adler's NYC bathroom----quite possibly, the bathroom heard round' the world.
I love the simplicity of the canvase. The white subway tiles, white octagonal tile on the floor, carrera marble trim, and bright brass hardware. And I love the shot of color and unexpected glamour from the orange curtain and the gorgeous Hermes sign.

I still remember seeing this bathroom in Domino.
So glamorous, so iconic.

The contrast of the dark wall color and pristine white tile in this bathroom is perfection.

A montage of bathrooms. All fabulous, all unique.

What's in your dream bathroom?
