Wedding Wednesday.... Save the Date!

They say you should "Write what you know."

So today's Wedding Wednesday is going to be about my personal thoughts on Save the Date's.

But, let me digress for a moment.

Ok, so I know EVERYONE says this, but I have like, the CUTEST dogs ever.

They're corgis and they're precious.

Exhibit A.

 Brian(man-friend) and I love them more than anything on this earth.

This is Trammell (the baby) named for 

Trammell Crow, the famed Texas Real Estate Developer

And Trump, named for, well you know.

The reason I'm mentioning my darling canines is that I want them to be the stars of our Save-the-Dates.

Specifically, their silouettes and our initials as our "logo", just as this couple did with elephants.

I haven'tn worked out the exact color scheme as of yet, but I'm thinking something like this invitation suite below.

Which, coincidentally, was used for a wedding in Palm Springs!

Obsessed with the pink and gold and the "Missoni" inspired look of the back of the invite.

As far as ordering pre-made save the dates, I am a HUGE fan of Hello Lucky and Minted

I adore their Save the Dates with cartoon drawings of Destinations.

But I'm really sadsville that they don't yet make a Palm Springs version.

I mean, get with IT guys!

Don't worry, I fully plan to start writing petition letters.

OBSESSED, I tell you, OBSESSED with this one.

So simple and chic.

Most of all, I think your Save the Date should say something about you as a couple.

It's really boring otherwise.
