LOVE Buddakan in the Meatpacking District.
It was actually the set of Carrie and Big's Rehersal dinner in the first Sex and the City movie.
It's where she gave Big, "The Last Single Girl Kiss...."
Love the decor. It's chic and modern.
It also doesn't hurt that the asian fusion food is FABULOUS.

When I was in New York last fall, we took my friend Liz (of Elizabeth Olliver) to Mari Vanna for her birthday. It's a traditional Russian restaurant. Think chilled vodka, dill butter, and hearty steaks.
And the decor looks to be straight of of Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic world.
It was so surreal to be in a restaurant like that.
It was like having tea in your very own GIANT dollhouse.

Tears. I took one look at the menu and saw fancy mac & cheese and was pretty much sold.
