Our Return to German Town....

Right after Thanksgiving, my man-friend and I decided that we needed 36 hours to relax by ourselves.
Where else to find fun and relaxation a mere 4.5 hours away from Fort Worth?
Fredericksburg, TX.

Brian and I are both German by heritage and like to pretend that we know about German things.
Like Schnitzel and Beer.

We started with lunch and beer at Spring Creek. It has a lovely outdoor patio and they always have live music. And the German food is delish.

We went back to red which has now moved down Main St.
I love this store for it's retro style with a modern edge.

I even scored a few great Christmas gifts!

The cylinder lights above were made from cardboard! They look really cool when grouped together.

We started our wine tasting that afternoon at Grape Creek Vineyards

It's a gorgeous setting and the wine was delightful!

Becker Vineyards was our next stop.
They were having a Port Wine and Stilton Cheese Tasting that day.
The man-friend and I were in Heaven.

Becker Vineyards is one of the oldest and most reputable in Fredericksburg and their wine is fabulous.

In addition to the grapes, they also grow lavender fields

If you're craving the beauty and rustic sophistication of a vineyard wedding, but don't want to travel outside of Texas, you can hold your ceremony and reception at Becker.

The gorgeous venue where they hold the reception...

I loved the Bride's "getting ready" cottage

I came across photos of this couple's wedding at Becker Vineyards on Bend The Light photography

Love this.

We came across August E's on our last day, and we will definitely be making a visit next time round'.
We peeked in the window and the decor is modern and fab and the food looks like one tasty morsel.

We left the pups at home on this trip. They stayed with Brian's mom.
