It's Friday and I'm in LOVE!

It's been a looonnnggg week. Lots of late nights at work.
SO ready for the long weekend!

My obsessions for the week:

Stacks of pretty pink books.

Especially this pretty book, which I'm dying to order.

These darling Mr. and Mrs. cocktail glasses from Furbish
What a great engagement or stock the bar gift!

Palm print wallpaper.
So Dorothy Draper.
So glam meets organic.
LOVE.

Nespresso machines. We just got one at my office and it's AMAZING.
Can't wait to get one for the house.

Cannot wait til it's cold again so I can resume my daily uniform of leggings and Hunter boots.
Love this lavender pair.
September 1st is Saturday.
Fall is SO close, I can almost taste it!

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Labor Day weekend!

The Tatler----Retro Fabulous.

Have ya'll ever read the Tatler?
The only reason I even knew of it's existence is that I've pretty much read every British chick-lit novel ever written.
Or at least all those by Jane Green and Sophie Kinsella.

Anyway, they used to mention the Tatler in there.

It's kind of a Town & Country meets Vogue meets US Weekly.
For the British elite.

I picked up an issue last week, mainly because of the sassy cover.
It features actress Alice Eve, beknowst only to me for her role in SATC 2---where she plays the nanny Charlotte is worried about.

But she looks SUPER 60's inspired and adorable on the cover---which got me super excited for her fashion spread.

And folks, is it ever fabulous.

Not just the clothes, but the vintage finds in the interiors.
Let's note that FABULOUS soleil sculpture on the wall behind her.

Dare I say that's Palm Springs?
It just might be.

Obsessed. I want her look immediately.
I need a truckload of funds to properly stock my fall wardrobe with vintage classics and couture.

Taking donations.

Wedding Wednesday....A Few Minor Obsessions

I don't really have a theme for this Wedding Wednesday.
So I just wanted to talk about some wedding sexiness I've come across on Pinterest.

Like the tent above. DYING.

And this Rue table scape, which I've talked about before.
But I feel the need to bring it up from time to time.
Just in case you've let it's fabulousness momentarily slip your mind.

No, your eyes aren't deceiving you.
That's ombre rock candy.
On a wedding cake.
A girl just wants to have FUN.

And finally a darling wedding pic with your favorite girls.
Why do balloons have a way of making everything more whimsical?

Happy Hump Day!

Living Large in an Extra Small Space

Yesterday, I talked about the darling dressing room below and it's fab Union Jack rug.
I wanted to show the rest of this amazing little house, featured in Country Living a few years ago.

It belongs to Lizzie Carney, who is a designer for Euro Trash. It's a mere 1,000 square feet, which I love.

I live in the teeniest little house here in Fort Worth and I always struggle with waiting to buy the pieces I really want for my next and hopefully, bigger home, when I need to remind myself that it's not the size of the house that counts, but the quality of what you fill it with.
Anyway, I think the way Lizzie has turned her tiny abode into something fabulous can be an inspiration for all of my fellow small-space dwellers.

I'm obsessed with the "wine cellar" feel of her dining room.

Her kitchen is super-Amaze. I love the un-abashed stab at glamour with the crystal chandeliers, dark wood cabinentry and mod turquoise fridge.

What are your thoughts on living extra-large in a teeny space?

British Influence

I think one of the most fun things about decorating is adding that one unexpected touch that really makes the room.

I'm a big fan of that touch in an animal print, or a really saturated color.
I've also been loving the Union Jack (British Flag) as of late.

It's fun, cheeky and classic.

If you're not a red, white and blue person,
a fun ode to Bristish patriotism, like this Andy Warhol-esque portrait of the Queen is SO fun.

I loved blogger and designer Sheridan French's rendition of the Union Jack flag in pink and orange on this dresser.

And I've long been a fan of this gorgeous dressing room featured in Country Living.
The pink and red Union Jack rug is PERFECTION.

Wedding Wednesday.....Baubles

Man, was I wrong about ya'll.
I really anticipated getting a little flak for my post on engagement rings
few months ago.

But, it seems noone thought it was a strange or dull post at all,
because it's my most viewed blog post EVER.

So, I'm here to give you another dose of what you so clearly want.

Pretty baubles for my pretty readers.

I think I've mentioned this, but Asscher's are my personal favorite.

I also love the idea of a traditional shape, with a different stone,
Like this cushion cut emerald.

I've been following NYC jewelry designer, Marisa Perry on Facebook,
and cannot get enough of her fabulous designs.
Check out her digs in the next four photos.

The sapphire ring is getting more popular,
thanks to one, Mrs. Kate Middleton.

And I love the vintage shape of this one.

 And speaking of vintage.
I think vintage and unique is oh so glam.

LOVE this idea.

 I LOVE this idea.

I've pinned it twice, so by 2012 standards, we're in a serious relationship.

I'm thinking I love it for the guest room.
Or maybe even our master.

I think it looks most fabulous with a super antique mirror.

Pink and Green Revisited

My love affair with the combo of pink and green has been long standing.
Probably starting around freshman year in college, when I wore pearls to class
and liked anything super preppy.

As of late, I've learned that pink and green can be more sophisticated and glamorous than super preppy.

Pink and green looks fabulous in interiors.
And of course I love the combination in floral arrangements.

What's your take on this classic combo?
